Aclarity is a Massachusetts-based water tech startup that designs, manufactures, and sells electrochemical oxidation and reduction water treatment systems to destroy contaminants in water.

Post-Doctoral Researcher

The term of this appointment will be a maximum of 36 months. All persons hired into Limited-Term positions will be required to sign a term of employment letter specifying the conditions of employment.

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the class.

Environmental Analytical Chemistry - PFAS

One position for a postdoctoral researcher is available in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The postdoc will lead efforts to design and execute studies on occurrence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in various environmental matrices. Besides, the postdoc will assist in supervising graduate and undergraduate students as appropriate. The candidate should have (1) a Ph.D.

Synthesis of nanomaterial-based adsorbents, catalysts, electrodes, and membranes

A postdoctoral position is available at Sustainable Environmental Technology Laboratory (SETL) of Kangwon National University (KNU) to work on a multidisciplinary research related to the synthesis of nanomaterial-based adsorbents, catalysts, electrodes, and membranes with the focus on water, wastewater treatments, seawater desalination, and salinity gradient power generation.

Postdoctoral in LCA/Land Use Modeling at Yale

The Yao lab at Yale University has a Postdoctoral Fellowship position available for the sustainable development of the bioeconomy. Bioeconomy is an emerging concept that uses biomass to produce energy, chemicals, and products. Biomass is related to many nature-based solutions to climate change.  The Yao Lab develops systems analysis tools to understand the carbon, environmental, and economic implications of different biomass conversion technologies throughout their life cycle. The research aims to assess, identify, and optimize different pathways to a sustainable bioeconomy future.

Artificial Intelligence and Remote Sensing in Water Resources and Environment

The Water Resources and Environment Group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Dongguk University, Seoul, South Korea is seeking a post-doctoral associate to conduct research on fusion of artificial intelligence and/or remote sensing technologies in water resources and environment studies. The post-doctoral research associate will conduct detailed modeling work to predict hydro-environmental changes and corresponding water availability.

Metal Recovery from Mining Effluents

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles is seeking candidates for 2 postdoctoral research associates with expertise in metal-ligand chemistry, electrochemistry, and membrane separations. Outstanding applicants with broad expertise in resource recovery from complex aqueous streams and geochemistry are also encouraged to apply.

Phosphorus Transport from Non-Point Sources in Urban Watersheds

The post-doctoral associate will conduct research on identifying phosphorus sources in urban sub-watersheds and the impact of stormwater management practices including low impact development (LID) systems on non-point source phosphorus loads. The post-doctoral research associate will conduct detailed field monitoring in a target urban sub-watershed and use appropriate modeling techniques (e.g., US EPA SWMM or other suitable watershed/water quality model) to simulate phosphorus transport in urban sub-watersheds and the impacts of stormwater management practices.
