We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher who holds a PhD in environmental engineering, biological engineering, or related fields. The successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills (with spoken/written English, if not Korean) and be highly motivated, independent, and self-directed.
The postdoctoral researcher will conduct research on 1) fate and effect of micropollutants in natural and engineered biological systems and 2) developing advanced treatment means for micropollutant removals. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in laboratory experiments with pure (bacteria and fungi) and mixed cultures, molecular techniques (e.g., PCR, DNA/cDNA preparation for next generation sequencing), enzymatic assay, bioreactor design and operation, analytical method (e.g., LC-MS), composite adsorbent synthesis, adsorption process, and/or physicochemical advanced water/wastewater treatment process.
