Job Description

Dr. Sewoon Kim, from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Louisiana State University (LSU) is inviting applications for a funded Ph.D. position starting in Fall 2025. The selected candidate will engage in research focused on:

  • Material Design – including fabrication, characterization, and applications in environmental systems
  • Membrane Processes – exploring diverse driving forces for sustainable water and wastewater treatment

Qualifications:

Applicants should hold a B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience or a strong interest in material development or membrane technologies. As this is a newly established research group, we particularly welcome individuals who demonstrate strong self-motivation, a positive research attitude, and a genuine desire to learn, grow, and solve complex problems.
