Dr. Graham Gagnon, Professor and Director of the Centre for Water Resources Studies at Dalhousie University, has graciously accepted AEESP's invitation to provide a lecture at this year's ACE26 Conference of the American Water Works Association in Washington, DC.

Dr. Gagnon's presentation, entitled "Collaborative Innovation in Drinking Water: Research Partnerships from Atlantic Canada that Advance Global Priorities" is scheduled for Monday, June 22 from 11:00 am - 12:15 pm ET in Room 145b.  The session is moderated by Kenan Ozekin, Water Research Foundation

About Dr. Gagnon:

Dr. Graham Gagnon, PhD, P.Eng., is the Vice-President Research and Innovation at Dalhousie University, where he also serves as Professor and Director of the Centre for Water Resources Studies. His research focuses on drinking water quality and treatment, integrating fundamental science with applied solutions through long-standing partnerships with utilities, communities, and industry. Over his career, he has led multidisciplinary programs that have trained more than 250 research trainees and contributed to advances in areas such as distribution system water quality, corrosion control, UV LED disinfection and wastewater-based epidemiology.

Dr. Gagnon has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and secured significant research funding to address emerging water challenges, with impacts extending across North America and internationally. His work has also supported the establishment of the Atlantic First Nations Water Authority, a unique Indigenous-led utility advancing safe drinking water in Atlantic Canada.

A Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Dr. Gagnon is widely recognized for bridging research and practice to advance collaborative innovation in the water sector.
