The Environmental Nanotechnology Lab in the Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University is seeking to hire a postdoc researcher, with an expected starting date of Oct 1, 2023. The postdoc researcher will support Dr. Ma and his students on several USDA and TWRI funded projects. The main responsibility of the postdoc researcher will include planning and conducting laboratory studies on the impact of engineered nanoparticles and nanocomposites on plant stress resistance and soil health, prepare manuscript and maintain daily lab operations. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Soil Chemistry, or related fields. The candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills. Prior experience with nanoparticle synthesis and characterization is preferable. Experience with advanced analytical equipment such as LC/MS/MS, strong skills for complicated mass spectroscopic data analysis, and/or machine learning is a great plus. The initial appointment will be one year, with the possibility of extension to a second year depending on performance and funding availability.
