Coconino County is seeking an Environmental Engineer Supervisor. The ideal candidate has current registration as an environmental P.E. in Arizona; project management training or experience; prior experience working with the public for a regulatory agency in a permitting field. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering and four years of experience working in an environmental or civil engineering related position, including two years of supervisory experience; OR Associate degree in environmental or civil engineering and five years of experience working in an environmental or civil engineering related position, including two years of supervisory experience; OR Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Additional Requirements: Current registration as a P.E. within the State of Arizona; Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment. Final job offer will be contingent upon a satisfactory 5-year Arizona Motor Vehicle Report. Preferred Qualifications: include considerable knowledge of environmental engineering principles and wastewater, water, stormwater, and water quality engineering design; computer operations as applied to engineering design and construction; problem analysis skills-prepare alternative regulations governing engineering, land use, and development. OR Current registration as an environmental P.E. within the State of AZ. This position is non-exempt from overtime.
