Job Description

A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately at the Water Resources Research Center, University of Hawaii at Manoa. The postdoctoral fellow will participate in a Dept of Energy-funded research project on wastewater treatment decarbonization. Opportunities also exist for the fellow to participate in other research projects at the Center. The successful candidate should have a PhD in environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental microbiology, environmental molecular biology, or other related disciplines. Self-motivation and good communication skills are required. Prior experiences with anaerobic digestion, biological iron cycling, environmental analytical chemistry, molecular biology tools, and metagenomics and bioinformatics are beneficial.
