A new graduate student position is available in the Research Group of Dr. Mahmut S. Ersan in the Department of Civil Engineering at University of North Dakota (https://www.ersanresearchlab.com/about). The primary responsibility will be to work on research projects related to the detection of PFAS in water and wastewater matrices. Familiarity with PFAS experimental research and strong chemistry background. The candidate must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a dynamic research group, possess strong problem-solving skills, and effectively communicate with external collaborators. In addition to research, the successful candidate will be expected to coordinate activities in the research group, write progress reports, draft manuscripts for publication, and present results at sponsor meetings and professional conferences. The candidate must have an undergraduate degree in chemistry, environmental/chemical engineering, or closely related fields. This is a two-year fully funded appointment with potential renewal for a following years subject to performance and funding.
