A post-doctoral position is available at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Syracuse University. The post-doctoral scholar will be a part of an interdisciplinary team working on mercury biogeochemical interactions with organic matter in lake ecosystems. The project involves field and laboratory work. The preferred candidate would have experience in various analytical instruments such as Ion Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, and ICP-MS. Knowledge in FTICR-MS will be a plus. A Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or another related field is preferred. The potential start date is September 2021.
