A postdoctoral scholar position is available in Dr. Xu Li’s laboratory in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The successful candidate will work on a funded project to understand the proliferation of antibiotic resistance in the environment using experimental and modeling approaches. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in data science and in health risk assessment. The candidate is also expected to assist in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, preparing proposals, and writing journal publications.
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in environmental engineering, environmental microbiology, or a related field of study. Applicants with a background in process engineering and molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Experience with bioinformatics is particularly desirable.
